Session 1: Evolving Web Technologies (Web1.0, 2.0, 3.0...)
During this first session we will introduce each other and begin to think about web technologies and how they can be used to enhance our teaching.
Each week I will post a new lesson to a Sessions Page found in the menu on the EPD100 wikispace. This will include a reading assignment from the internet or an education video for you to watch and comment on under the discussion tab for each session. Additional questions or assignments may also be posted. Your responses should be posted under DISCUSSIONS TAB in the corresponding session or week.
I will post the lesson on a Monday. The discussion will be locked on the last day of the following session. This gives you two weeks to post your discussion and reply or react to others. For example, the lesson under session one, posted on Monday, February 7, becomes locked on the Friday of the last day of the NEXT session, February 18th, so no further posts will be accepted. This gives you a two week window to read messages and post reactions to others for the week.
Session 1 Reading:
Please read and watch the following: 1. Baumann, M. (2009, May). Web 3.0: the Next Step for the Internet. Information Today, 26, 1+. Retrieved November 26, 2010, from Questia database: http://www.questia.com/PM.qst?a=o&d=5036937684

Include your best email address for contacting you. Also include one little known fact about yourself for fun. Post to the Introduction / Discussion Page.
